Learning burnout represents the phenomenon of depression,learning escape and low achievement caused by the lack of learning interest when the student who is long-term under a high-level study pressure.It is not conducive to the student's development of body and mind,especially for the master students who are the representation of the top-notch innovative talents.Learning burnout is closely related to the achievement goal orientation(AGO)and social support,so it is very necessary to study their relationship in depth.In this paper,several research methods,including the literature review,questionnaire survey and comparative analysis,are utilized to study the relationship between the AGO,social support and the learning burnout of master students.The following results are obtained:(1)Learning burnout is a widespread phenomenon around master students,its level is significantly higher than the theoretical median,of which the performance of the learning escape dimension is the worst.The mastery approach goal orientation(MApGO)is the dominated goal orientation mode in master students,only few students tend to the performance avoidance goal orientation(PAvGO).Master students normally receive highly social supports,but their performance in the social support utilization dimension is poor.(2)Region differences of master students significantly affect the level of the achievement avoidance goal orientation(AAGO).The length of working experience before be a master student,affect the level of the learning escape,mastery avoidance goal orientation(MAvGO),social support(including subjective and objective supports)and its utilization,with statistical significance.(3)Both the mastery approach goal orientation(MApGO)and the performance approach goal orientation(PApGO)can negatively predict the level of learning burnout,while the PAvGO can positively predict.Note that,the MApGO has the strongest predictive ability among these goal orientations.The dimensions in social support,including subjective support,objective support and utilization,can negatively predict the level of learning burnout,where the objective support has the strongest predictive ability.
