Intermediate managers of the Power grid enterprises play important roles in power production safety, technical innovation and operation management. They are valuable assets to the enterprise. Most of them, however, have to the face with a series problems, such as high work stress and strength, heavy family burden, etc. They are potentially influenced by these problems to a certain extent. Therefore, it's of great importance to study the issue of their occupational happiness. In the construction of strong smart grid and the "one strong & three-excellent" modern enterprise, the power grid enterprise implements the people-oriented concept and focus on the occupational happiness of its employees, especially intermediate managers. The people-oriented concept conforms to the contemporary requirement of happiness and presents the responsibility and management of the first-class enterprise.The career management emphasizing occupational happiness sticks to the people-oriented concept and it turns out to be more capable to stimulate worker's enthusiasm, activity and creativity. It guides its employees to bind together their personal happiness and company success. The level of occupational happiness reflects the level of human resource management in a company. It's important to pay attention to the intermediate manager's satisfactory to work and their happiness, as well as to help them increase their occupational happiness. Consequently, the activity coherence, loyalty and sense of belongs of them will be motivated and enhanced. The intermediate managers tend to be more capable of self-control, self-improvement and self-motivation, and they are eager to pursue and achieve happiness. The happy-working concept will help to inspire their sense of ownership and their positive occupational attitude. It will also strengthen their loyalty and devotion to the company which will bring about a win-win situation for the personal happiness and company success.Based on systematically study of the relevant theories about career management and happiness, the paper highlights the sense of occupational happiness in careermanagement and analyzes the relevant factors. By means of individual interviews and questionnaire surveys, I manage to find out the status of occupational happiness of the intermediate managers in S company and acquire the necessary information and data. By way of scientific research and statistical analysis tools, nine-dimensional of data of intermediate managers'occupational happiness in S company has been analyzed and a conclusion was drawn. The paper suggests that the essential factors of intermediate managers' occupational happiness include career development, work environment, health, family, and sense of belongs. Starting off with these factors and taking the situation of S company into account, the paper has a further research on how to increase the intermediate managers'occupational happiness so as to provide a reference for the career management of intermediate managers in the power grid enterprise.
