As the core of IT industry, software enterprise has experienced unprecedented speed of development, characterized of continuous market expansion and immense competition.The software industry is one of the typical knowledge economical industries. Knowledge workers are the key to the success of enterprise.How to attract and stimulate talents and retain them is the key of software enterprise.How to use performance appraisal effectively is becoming more and more important to software enterprise today.So for software enterprises, establishing a set of scientific, complete system of performance appraisal, adapting to the development of the enterprise is very important.This thesis can be divided into six parts. The first part is introduction which illustrates the meaning of the research purpose?methodology?background?contents and innovation point of this thesis.The second part introduces theories and present domestic and overseas condition of performance appraisal.This is correlation theory of this text. The third part introduces characteristic and development of software enterprise in china, and human resources is very important for software enterprises, and introduces the system of performance appraisal at home and abroad.The forth part analyses the old system of performance appraisal is imperfect and finds many problems. The fifth part is about suggestion?principle?evaluation?methods?cycle and appraisal process. The sixth part is about researching on method?job analysis and establishing index system of performance appraisal.This part designs a more reasonable system of performance appraisal, which is the focus of this thesis.This part introduces a new scheme of operation and solutions.This thesis takes BR Software Company as an example and applies the theory of performance appraisal to solve the problem at last. Innovation of this article is making different performance appraisal standard with AHP and KPI for every job, validating and improving in the real job. In other words, on the basis of job analysis, we unify the performance appraisal standard, establish the evaluation index system for all employees and design whole performance appraisal scheme. Steps are taken to keep BR Software Company's performance appraisal running properly, including changing manager's mind, traim, promoting the application of appraisal results and guiding performance aning staff before performance appraisal, establishing a surveillance mechanisppraisal with enterprise culture. This thesis is the specific solution of software enterprise,but its methodologies of performance appraisal can be used for reference in other companies.
