Since the 1990 s, along with the deepening of the international division of labor, international trade and formed a new pattern. In the new pattern, American and European countries dominated the most high-end chain of international division of labor.They improve their strengths of science and technology,and tend to mainly export high-tech, low energy consumption products. In contrast, develop ing countries are always in the development of science and technology, and in the most low-end chain in the international division of labor.They mostly export the industrial products of the low-tech, high energy consumption. C hina, as the world's largest developing country, with the accelerated pace of C hina's reforming and opening up, the size of China's foreign trade continued to expand, and along with the rapid growth of foreign trade, the issue of China's current export structure, and thus the cause of the large consumption of energy. In the context of the scientific development concept to guide and international socio-economic development, energy consumption has become an important factor affecting the upgrading and optimization of our current export structure. Then, the paper is aim to reduce energy consumption from the perspective of optimizing the structure of China's commodity export.Based on the domestic and foreign export structure theories, combining with the actual situation of C hina since 1978, the paper want to analysis the export commodity structure and optimization of energy consumption. Firstly, through the general statistical methods, we studied the evolution of China's export structure and summarized the characteristics of C hina's export commodity structure. Secondly, the paper build the hybrid input-output model and estimate the energy consumption of the our export commodity through 2002-2012. Again, throughout the industrial structure, technological progress and institutional innovation three aspects, the article analysis the mechanism to reduce energy consumption and optimize China's export commodity structure. After the empirical part of the article, through the establishment of VEC model, the article builds a quantitative analysis of the optimization of China's export commodity structure and energy consumption reduction.Finally, based on the perspective of energy consumption reducing, the paper put forward the countermeasures and suggestions to China's export commodity structure optimization.
