During the past several years, the professional progress in industry has achieved delightful fulfillment in our country, but there are still many problems exposed in operating management. In the increasingly fierce market competition, strengthening the management of insurance companies, and guiding the healthy and orderly development of the insurance industry and improving the efficiency and vitality of the industry have become the primary task of the insurance companies and regulatory agencies. Therefore, establishing a scientific performance evaluation mechanism has become the basic requirements of insurance regulation and the inevitable choice for promoting insurance companies operating in transition and enhancing the capacity of sustainable development.This paper studies Business Performance Evaluation System of C hina Pacific Property Insurance Co. Ltd. in Hunan Branch(CPIC Hunan Branch). In an overall analysis of the company, there are some problems in operating mechanism and the shortage of harmony has significant existed when evaluating the performance in the company etc. Therefore, several measures like reconstitution the index and perfect th e implement system can be practiced on evaluating corporate performance in the following sections. Meanwhile, the article also indicates the potential drawbacks with the improvement process, and would put forward the related supporting approaches of performance evaluation on organization structure, corporate culture and information system of the company. The development of CPIC Hunan Branch would follow the step of accelerating the strategy transformation and also enhancing the ability of sustainable value-development as the guiding thought. Moreover, basic principle of the company would be considered with comprehensive, justice and equity, finance index combines with the non-finance ones, the coexistence of quantitative with qualitative and development and benefits also be paid attention. The content of the improved operating performance evaluation system contains cost-effectiveness, capital management and quality of service control, business development, channel building and the management of customer and employee satisfaction. Afterwards, the paper would balance the relationship between long-term and short-term benefits effectively by layout the reasonable weigh of index. Then the efficient track and feedback mechanism and multiple-results of assessment could be operated on improving the performance evaluation system.The conclusion of this study has a positive reference value to CPIC H unan Branch for improving the current business performance evaluation system and also enhancing the sustainable development of this company.
