As the competition situation of internal and external business environment which companies face is more and more severe, the theory and technology o f lean production mode and its derivative method of lean logistics have become an important source of enterprise competitive advantage. According to the production characteristics of specific enterprises, the reasonable, flexible and effective application of related methods and techniques is the key to implementing lean thinking and realizing sustainable development for enterprises.The research object of the thesis is the production logistics system of circuit breaker products. Based on the theory of production logistics system, the theoretical methods and research applications of lean production and lean logistics are analyzed. According to the actual situation and product and material characteristics of circuit breaker workshop production process, through relevant theories and methods of industrial engineering 5W1 H, PCB analysis, etc., the current problems of the workshop production logistics system turn out to be material flow management and production control disorderIn view of the existing problems, from aspects of workshop production logistics system improvement and semi- finished product production and supplying mechanism improvement, the detailed improvement schemes are put forward. The main contents of workshop production logistics system improvement include analyzing the existing material flow situation, collecting material basic information to conduct data analysis and ABC and XYZ classification, proposing reasonable material classification management strategies, updating the number of Kanbans and designing milk run material distribution system in detail. The semi- finished product production and supplying mechanism improvement aiming at the existing production control mode and supplying process and the current problems, the Kanban production and make-to-order(MTO) production are put forward and the corresponding storage strategies are developed. The practical applications of the presented improvement schemes in workshop not only achieve improvement effects, such as clarifying and rationalizing mater ial management, reducing workshop inventory(raw material and WIP) level, optimizing workshop layout, saving workshop space, improving material storage and distribution system, optimizing workshop operation process, but also provide a good reference for ot her workshop improvement projects which have similar production situation. Furthermore, the proposed method will extend to the whole logistics systems of enterprises.
