International business has become an essential part of main business in commercial banks as well as a major measure of commercial banks operating performance and one of the significant revenue sources. In the recent ten year of China's accession to WTO, there is dramatic development of state-owned banks, joint-stock banks and foreign banks that flocking to the domestic markets, leading to dual internal and external challenges of all commercial banks. Therefore, commercial banks are under pressure to open up and develop international business when faced with both opportunities and challenges, particularly the continuous efforts in operational research in developing international business, thus making it possible to compete with foreign banks. Thence, it is of vital importance to have a sound study of remodeling international business management in commercial banks in China, aiming to explore an effective way for international business developing.The main contents took a review of developments of international business in both domestic and foreign commercial banks along with their management approaches, and instructions of general choices and renovations of domestic banks were given as well.By taking Zhejiang Branch of Agricultural Bank of China as a typical example and elaborating its current situation of international business with relevant management models, we further discussed its existing problems and weaknesses.Based on objective backgrounds and personal circumstances, scientific and rational management methods are put forward in formulating international business plans. By analyzing the overall environment and possible safeguard measures that ensure a smooth improvement of management methods, we discussed the competiveness of international business in Zhejiang Branch of Agricultural Bank of China.According to information and data obtained from our surveys, quantitative interpretations of current status of management models in the bank were presented, limitations and areas needing to be expanded were pointed out as a result. We concluded suggestions and recommendations eventually for better countermeasures of remodeling international business.In order to obtain accurate data and scientific research findings, we applied various research means to discuss and analyze the developments and countermeasures of remodeling international business management in commercial banks. The research methods include literature review, case study and information research.Finally, based on the full text of presentation and practice, we put forward out that Zhijiang Branch of Agricultural Bank of China should focus on customer relationship management, product innovation management and intensive operations to make progress of remodeling international business management, providing guidance and reference of the appropriate path for developing international business management models in commercial banks.
