With the rapid development of economy and the continuous improvement of people's living standard, more and more people pay more attention to leisure activities. City Park, as an important part of modern urban public open space, is an important place for urban residents to return to nature, leisure and entertainment. Diversification for the needs of modern people, making urban park gradually to meet the needs of the user behaviors, how to improve the space environment of the urban park and create a comfortable and beautiful park space, attract more people to return the park, becomes a hot topic in current urgently awaits to be solved.This thesis aims to study of urban parks in a user's behavior, and South Lake Park in Changchun City as the specific scope of study, the observation, interview and questionnaire survey combination way, the users of behavior, behavioral motivation and behavioral needs combing and analysis of specific studied South Lake park space typical user behavior demand differences in gender, age and occupation.The study found South Lake park users behavior activity type to walk leisure, enjoy the scenery, photograph and fitness exercise; motivation is mainly to relax the mood, return to nature, physical exercise and leisure and entertainment; demand behavior exist differences in age, gender, occupation, such as children are mainly safety and entertainment needs, older people are comfortable and communication needs, women are mainly physiological and private demand, the disabled person, sit wheelchair and stroller convenience and accessibility needs.Finally, comparing with the South Lake Park status, summarized the problems existed in South Lake Park, and puts forward suggestions on optimizing the space, and park maintenance and management aspects of the suggestions, hoping to provide reference for the future development of the South Lake Park.
