Under the intense circumstance for competition,enterprises are increasingly in great demand for high quality and creative products to adapt to the trend of Just-In-Time and ensure the core competitiveness. Efficiency of supply chain is the key to win the market. Suppliers as the core part of the supply chain directly affect the competiveness of supply chain. Supplier management is highly valued in the enterprise strategic management.Based on JW company, this article gives the introduction of profile including products and market, also puts forward that improvement of supplier management is the vital foundation for management of JW, and analyses the major issues which are:With regard to the mentioned issues, this article proposes corresponding improvements as follows:The lack of reasonable supplier classification leads to failure of targeted management to suppliers Single supplier selection, i.e. selection through only one evaluation procedure and evaluation index and mostly qualitative index for evaluation files in common.Selection results are mainly due to the person who does the evaluation. The system for performance assessment of suppliers doesn't cover all the respects. Yearly routine quality audit can't deal the issues during the cooperation with suppliers. The defects discovered during quality audit are not followed up effectively.Firstly, Classification of the four quadrants is adopted to classify suppliers with improvement strategy according to important proportion of materials and the complexity of market.Secondly, suitable supplier evaluation and supplier selection and procedure are put forwarded.Thirdly, timely quantitive indexes regarding yearly evaluation are added to the system for performance assessment, to reflect the actual performance of suppliers.
