Inventory management is an important part of the production process, and its main function is to establish a buffer between supply and demand. Reasonable inventory levels would enable the enterprise to meet customer demand uncertainty, adjust the demand for production capacity, ease the operation process unpredictable problems, and lower the unit ordering cost and production preparation subscription fees. However, excess inventory will occupy the enterprise's cash, limit its liquidity and reduce the market operating capability. Especially in the medical device industry wide range of products of various medical devices, these products and technologies are universal and with strong similarities, so its inventory management is very important. This thesis focuses on SINO medical device company's product development and business processes, from inventory problems, various problems arise in the current production operations have been analyzed. Through case study method, the application of inventory management model, the use of different materials for different modeling methods, including quantity discounts EOQ model under non-uniform demand inventory model and inventory model based on the supply chain and lead hybrid models, we determine the company's inventory levels and the best ordering strategy, give the order point, order quantity and lead time, and the ordering policy. Further, this thesis also discusses the issue of establishing the demand rate is constant demand inventory model and random distribution of inventory model, and finally, in the optimization model based on the use of qualitative methods to adjust the analysis in order to achieve reduced inventory, cost-saving purposes.
