An Empirical Study On The Coordinated Development Of Higher Education And Economy In Henan Province

With the period of the knowledge economy is coming,the relationship between higher education and economic development is becoming more and more closely.Higher education is a powerful boost to the economy.Economy is the material guarantee for the development of higher education.Whether or not the coordination between them has always been concerned from various fields.The harmonious coexistence between higher education and economy is the only way of the social development,it is the objective demand of the economic construction.At present,We begin to implementing the Central China Economic District,The point is that higher education play role of leading and coordinating when Henan Province made first location in the process of regional economic development.How to achieve the coordinated development is an important problem in this paper.This not only has very important significance to the economic development of Henan Province,also with the development benefits of the Central China Economic District.This paper embarks from the theory of higher education and economic development.Select university students in Henan per million population,the higher education gross enrollment ratio,educational levels and per capita GDP,average financial income;and Third industry output ratio build database on scale and structure.Aims to understand the current situation about development of Various fields in Henan.Using correlation analysis and curve-fitting on indexes of higher education and economic development by means of regression,The conclusion is that they has a close relationship both of them.By comparing with the relevant data of Various provinces in economic region.Using principal component analysis to calculate the score of higher education and economic development in this places.the conclusion that Higher education and economy is in the period of Non coordination in Henan Province.The development of higher education is slower than the economy.Analysis of the reasons focused on High resource shortage and unbalanced distribution,The level structure of talents and the imbalance of labor structure,Lack of sources of investment in Education.Put forward suggestions to promote economic development: Training Innovative Talents,Enhance the education level structure and Increase the source of investment in Higher Education,Promoting educational equity and so on...
