Nowadays, the changing of national economic growth mode lead more investors to switch their attention to services. As an important region in services, hotel chains are getting more and more attention from investors and entrepreneurs. Economicalhotel chains are the inevitable tendency for the development of hotel chains in China. Therefore, it is necessary to improve enterprises management by optimizing performance management which is a key point for the survival of economical hotel chains.In this paper, the advanced performance management method was used to optimize performance management system of 7 Days Inn. The first chapter introduced the background, problem and significance of research and reviewed the research status of performance management. The second chapter introduced company profile, development process and organizational structure of 7 Days Inn. Based on the questionnaires and individual meeting, the performance management condition of 7 Days Inn was investigated, some main existing problems were found and analyzed. In the third chapter, performance management of 7 Days Inn was optimized based on the improvement of performance management process, the design of performance evaluation objectives, the opening of incentive salary system, the establishment of performance feedback mechanism and the access of performance appeal. After optimization, a scientific, operative and efficient performance management system of 7 Days Inn was established. The forth chapter discussed operational safeguards of the optimized performance management, the new confronting issue, solutions and expected effect so that the company mission and core value can be realized and the prospects and strategy can be combined together. In the end, the conclusions were summarized, the deficiencies were pointed out, and the expectations were clarified.Hopefully, through optimizing performance management system, the competitive strength of 7 Days Inn can be greatly improved.
