The Economic Benefits Research On Effectiveness Of Standardization

In recent years,with the improvement of equipment and technology,also the frequency of international trade,standardization has become a powerful weapon in international competition.The effectiveness of standardization on economic benefits become the attention of scholars in various countries.It's a double-edged sword effect reflected in technical improvement,competition,international trade and domestic economy.From the perspective of formulation and implementation of stan dard,people focus more on its economic benefits.Standardization promote technology progress which is the important force to accelerate domestic economic growth.Technology progress expressed by technology innovation,standardization,and the absorption o f technology introduction.Technology innovation promote the industrial structure optimization and improve the quality of economic growth.The coordinated mechanism between technology innovation and standardization boost the growth of economic benefits.For technology introduction,through the digestion and the absorption of advanced technology,then re-innovation,we can strive to make technology development keep up with the pace of developed countries.Meanwhile,in the process of technology introduction,we must standardize the process,technical indicators and a series of behavior and index.All of this promote technology advance,then facilitate the growth of economic benefits.From the perspective of the mechanism which technology process promote economic output,the paper takes the stocks of China's standard,patent and technology introduction fee as the independent variables in Cobb-Douglas production function.The stock of standard is the measure of the degree of standardization index,the stock of patent is the measure of technology innovation.According to the result of ridge regression,it indicates that standardization contribute to China's economic benefits growth in the long term.From the specific contribution rate,the index of standardiz ation is low,but the patent and the capital stock make a larger contribution to the growth.And the impact of labor input is declined.It imply that China is actively transform from the labor-intensive industry to the technology-intensive industry.In addition,from the stage of standard development speed,the contribution of standardization has a small rising steadily.According to the quantitative empirical research on the contribution,this paper argues that China's standardization has a little small contribution to the growth of macro-economic benefits,there is some room for improvement.Our country's standardization system and infrastructure still in the construction,the technology is in the process of upgrading,the transfer efficiency of technol ogy innovation into application,also the introduced technology's absorption and digestion into re-innovation,is still at a low degree.From a macro perspective,standardization can promote the growth of national economy,therefore,we need to implement the strategy of standardization actively,increase the rate of contribution in macro-economy,and ensure the high quality development of economy.
