Based on the investigation in the Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture ecological tourism industry development, the eco-tourism industry infrastructure, main body of market construction and development scale were studied and the SWOT analysis of eco-tourism industry in Xiangxi Prefecture, and the current development status. The research shows that:the history and culture of Xiangxi ecological tourism is thick, the minority nationality is in vogue, the natural resources are rich, the tourism style is unique and the location advantage is obvious, and the traffic is developed gradually. But at the same time, the disadvantages are also obvious:the development of blindness, the lack of scientific planning, system and mechanism is not perfect, inadequate infrastructure, capital investment without security, affected by the season strong, development and protection of the conflict, environmental pollution serious. But there are also the external macro, regional tourism cooperation, tourism industry structure adjustment, the development of the two type of social construction and so on. At the same time, the threat of tourism development in Xiangxi is also obvious, such as the lack of ecological tourism products and innovation, the concept of eco tourism industry is backward, the construction of ecological tourism industry talent team needs to be strengthened. Therefore, the innovation and development of the tourism industry in Xiangxi should be follow the government led, sustainable development, construction quality, taking into account the principle of economic benefit and ecological benefit and social benefit, in accordance with the present situation of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture, to develop ecological tourism industry development planning, ecological tourism resources integration, to build a unique ecological tourism routes, actively promote the development of boutique area, strengthen ecological tourism industry, infrastructure construction, the implementation of environmental protection and ecological tourism industry common development, to comprehensively strengthen the regional cooperation.
