With the revolutionary breakthrough of the transportation mode, profound impact will take place on urban development and spatial evolution. Recently a large-scale high speed railway have constructed in China. Now it becomes the largest high-speed railway put into operation and the largest country in the construction in the world. As the region of China's strongest comprehensive strength, with the Shanghai-Nanjing high-speed rail, Shanghai-Hangzhou high-speed rail and Nanjing-Hangzhou-Ningbo high-speed railway opened to traffic, the Yangtze River Delta city group becomes one of the regions of the world most concentrated high-speed railway density and begins to enter the era of high-speed railway. As a quick and convenient modern means of transport, High-speed railway is bound to have an impact with the regional spatial structure. This paper taking the most concentrated high-speed railway density and the most economically developed region-The Yangtze River Delta city group for the study, to analysis the impact of high-speed rail to regional spatial structure reconstruction and economic effects have inevitable representative.In terms of Yangtze River Delta space structure reconstruction, this paper mainly through with and without comparison method, based on the two cases: in the high-speed railway and not in the high-speed railway, analysis the changes in the spatial structure of the Yangtze River Delta. The fractal study finally shows that after the completion of high-speed railway, the accessibility between cities has been significantly improved, the Yangtze River Delta distribution shows a decreasing trend from the center of Shanghai to the surrounding density. Urban distribution system is gathering momentum. The social network analysis shows that, after the completion of high-speed railway, each city accept other cities radiation and radiation in other cities are on the rise. The regional links become closer and urban spatial structure has been optimized. And among subgroup and subgroup internal links become further strengthened. In terms of economic efficiency, this paper is mainly analyzed by double difference model. The research results that In the current background that Chinese economic goes into a new normal, in the short term, high-speed rail has promoted the economic on the Yangtze River Delta, the completion of high-speed rail has widen the urban-rural income gap where the cities have high-speed rail to a certain extent.Through the study we found: In the regional spatial structure, High-speed railway has greatly enhanced the accessibility and overall network density of the Yangtze River Delta region, the links between subgroup have strengthened, the whole region is gathering momentum distribution. In terms of economic efficiency,high-speed railway is a “double-edged sword”. Each city must seize the opportunity,supported by the high-speed railway, to strengthen the regional resource flow and industry transfer.
