The Study On The Jiangxi Electric Power Industry During The Republic Of China

Jiangxi Electric Power industry began in 1908, after the founding of the Republic of China, We can found that the development of Jiangxi electric power industry is behind than other province in overall. It is reflect that the paths of Jiangxi Electric Power industry is full of problem. In this paper, the electric power industry in Jiangxiduring the Republic of China as the research subject, divided into four sections to explore it. The four sections including the historyof Jiangxi electric power industry,the enterprises of Jiangxi electric power in the period of the Republic of China,central and local government control the regulation in Jiangxi eletric power industry and some troubles we found in Jiangxi electric power industry.First, we will explore the history of Jiangxi electric power, is also can divided into three parts. Part one is 1908 to 1937, at that time, Jiangxi electric power industry is development slowly. In whole province's only a few private enterprises, but always small scale and limited funds. Part two is 1938 to 1943, Jiangxi electric power industry is so called "golden development period". In a special historical period of the anti Japan war, Jiangxi Electric Power industry is more rapid and timely support for the war. Part three is 1944 to 1949. From 1944 to 1945, Japanese army launched a new round of attacks on Jiangxi, the Jiangxi electric power industry is destroyed.After the war, the slow recovery of Jiangxi electric power industry and then the China civil war was broke out, Jiangxi power industry gradually to the collapse in evetually.Secondly, this part of the main idea shows during the Republic of China,the development of enterprise in Jiangxi electric power. By the introduce of Jiangxi electric power with the public and private, embody the condiction of enterprise in Jiangxi electric power.Thirdly, this part discuss the government to supervise Jiangxi electric power industry in the period of the Republic of China. The central government set the Construction Committee and Ministry of Economic Affiliated Resources Commissionto regulate it.Jiangxi local government is also involved in the transaction of public electric power industry, the Department of Construction in Jiangxi is duty for supervision of the power plant.Finally, This paper is trying to analyze the problem and explore the development of Jiangxi electric power industry. The conclusion from the paper will focus on three major areas, is contain the social-economic backwardness of Jiangxi, Jiangxi electric power shortage and lack of specialist about electric power industry.
