With the improvement of people's living standards and transportation networks, it is easier for people to go travelling. Thus, it also has promoted the development of tourism. What is more, national attention and support of the tourism industry will benefit the development of the hotel industry. In the beginning of the 21 st century, Nanning has been vigorously developed. While enjoying the convenience of urban expansion, people are suffering the problems of inadequate supply of urban public infrastructure and regional unbalanced development, etc. It is completely to the disadvantage of hotel industry. Therefore, the study on the spatial distribution of the hotel industry in Nanning has great practical significance. From the perspective of spatial analysis, this thesis aims to analyze the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics and the influencing factors of hotels in Nanning. The range of research is restricted to the twelve county(District) administrative regions in Nanning, respectively, Qingxiu District, Xingning District, XiXiangTang District, LIANG Qing District, Yongning District, region Wuming, Heng, Binyang County, Shanglin County, Longan County, Mashan County. The total area is of 22112 square kilometers and the built area of 285 square kilometers. Baidu maps and other information sites are employed to collect the geographic coordinates of hotels in Nanning(a total of 2029). EXCEL software is used to carry out statistical analysis of these datas.First, using ArcGIS average nearest neighbor elements analysis method, obtains the average observation distance, the expected average distance, nearest neighbor index, Z score and P value five numerical of hotels in Nanning city and six central areas and analyzes their degree of agglomeration in the spatial distribution. Secondly, using the kernel density analysis method to analyze the Nanning Hotel from two dimensions of time and space, obtains changes and trends of the core density distribution area of hotels in Nanning. Again, using the buffer analysis method, analyzes the tropism between hotels and the traffic conditions, business center, tourist attractions, administrative center, etc. in spatial distribution in Nanning. By comparison, it is found that when the buffer radius of influence factor is 3000 m, the correlation between factors and hotel is the strongest. Counting the number of hotels in the buffer area and calculating the corresponding specific gravity in each county administrative region to compare the correlation between the hotel and impact factors in whole and regional area. Finally, according to Study on the spatial distribution characteristics and the influencing problems existing in it, and put forward the corresponding solution and optimization measures.Main research conclusions are:(1) The distribution of the hotels in Nanning in space is in cluster. The center of the city agglomeration degree is the highest, Shanglin County, Binyang County, Hengxian are as the secondary gathering areas.(2)The kernel hotspot density of Nanning hotels is in the single spotty distribution and then extended to different sheet shapes. The hotspot density of central city is the highest, and it has a trend towards the East and the south.(3)The development direction of Nanning hotels is consistent with the overall planning of Nanning city. The spatial distribution of the hotel is guided by the regional urban development plan.(4)The main factors that affect the spatial distribution of Nanning hotels are commercial center, traffic conditions, tourist attractions and administrative center. The correlation between the hotel distribution and the commercial center is the highest while the correlation between the hotel and the tourist attractions is the lowest in whole city area.
