Application Research On Project Management For Single And Small Batch Production Mode

With the increasingly competitive of both domestic and international markets together with its varies demand, traditional manufacturing enterprises for mass production has gradually subsided since competitive advantages has been gradually disappeared.More and more single and Mini-Batch production mode has been to be accepted for current market. Higherprofit for single and Mini-Batch production mode is usually accompanied by higher risks, for example,management risk,business risk, financial risk and so on.Project management insingle and Mini-Batch production is benefit to smoothly transition of production mode andbe adapted to market changes and demands.Meanwhile, it is beneficial toenhancethe capability ofdistributing of enterprise resources andenhance operation efficiency.Based on the main featuresfor single and small batch manufacturing combined with author'spractices in practical management, the paper would like to take company M as the research subjectto analysis its advantages and specific performancein single and small batch production mode by project management to compare the result of application of project management before and after.Case analysis method, questionnaire method and inductive method are used for this paper for thorough study of M company's six domainsfocus at scope, people, time, quality, procurement and communication. Firstly, analyzedthe situation and problems before implementing project management,summarized the strategic direction of company M by SWOT method.Then proposed the necessity of project management forcompany of single and small batch production. Secondly, systematically applied project management based on single and Mini-Batch production mode to A project belonged to department F. Thirdly,assessedthe running effect for project A by applyingthe management maturity model established byproject management system, and summarizedits successful experience and the improvement measures. Finally, summarized the research achievements,successful experiences, deficiencies and then pointed outthe future research direction.
