Imported Producter Services Affects Manufacturing Servitization In The BRICS

As a representative of the emerging economies, the BRICS countries are facing the dilemma of the upgrading of manufacturing industry. Manufacturing industry can obtain abundant human capital and intellectual capital through producer service import trade. Previous studies show that the import trade of developed countries can effectively promote the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry. Whether the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry in developing countries can learn from relevant experience? This paper intends to through the study of the influence of producer services import trade on manufacturing servitization in BRICS countries to explore the effective path of the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry. Manufacturing servitization process is divided into two aspects: service production and service output. From these two aspects, this paper comprehensively analyzes the influence of producer services import trade on manufacturing servitization.In this paper, by means of national non competitive input-output table, analyzes the impact of producer services import trade on manufacturing investment service and output service effects during 1995-2011 in the BRICS countries. Firstly, this paper analyzes the current situation of producer services import trade in the BRICS countries. Through input-output method, calculation of the BRICS Input coefficient of manufacturing import producer services and manufacturing output coefficient. Through the analysis of input coefficient of manufacturing import producer services, the influence of producer services import trade on service of manufacturing industry is studied. On the basis of calculation of the BRICS Input coefficient of manufacturing import producer services and manufacturing output coefficient,construct mathematical model by using production function.Through using panel data measurement method, the influence of producer services import trade on the service of manufacturing industry is studied.This paper follow the structure from the whole to the part. On the basis of analyzing the influence of producer services import trade on manufacturing servitization, carry out sub industry research. The following is the result of the research.(1)From the perspective of investment service, the dependence of the manufacturing industry on the overall producer services import trade in China and Brazil is increasing. From the perspective of industry, although the BRICS countries intermediate investment on finance, post and telecommunications industry, leasing, development and other business services which are belong to High technology import producer services is less,but the overall trend is rising. The impact of producer services import trade on manufacturing investment service is enhanced.(2) From the perspective of output service,the import producer services into the manufacturing industry has not yet played a role of technology spillovers.But the import producer services has the inhibitory effect on manufacturing output service in the BRIC countries.(3) Overall, BRICS countries Import producer services for manufacturing industry intermediate investment is very small, which greatly inhibited the absorption ability of knowledge capital and human capital brought by BRIC countries manufacturing industry for Producer services import trade. In this paper, we study the influence of manufacturing import producer services intermediate Inputs on manufacturing output service by the means of panel data method, and also introduce the domestic producer services Intermediate Inputs, labor, capital and human capital. The results showed that the BRICS countries in the process of upgrading of manufacturing servitization, put into the manufacturing industry domestic producer service, human capital plays a positive role, increasing labor input will only hinder the process of manufacturing upgrading. The effect of capital on manufacturing servitization is not obvious.
