In recent years, the pharmaceutical industry has maintained a good development, increasing total output value; on the other hand, the reform for domestic pharmaceutical policy will continue to be deepen, and the government has developed a series of norms and regulations instead of the past some non-standard pharmaceutical promotion behavior, pharmaceutical enterprises urgently need to adjust the promotion strategy in such a macro environment. In China, Medicine promotion was originally introduced and implemented by foreign pharmaceutical companies, and is increasingly becoming mature mode, especially has become a popular way of pharmaceutical promotion in recent years; now for pharmaceutical enterprises which urgently need some new promotion ways, the demand of medicine promotion is increasing day by day; and medical information service support is the basis of medicine promotion. Therefore, further for pharmaceutical enterprises, demand for medical information service is growing, and has great potential market, but also there is a fierce competition in the market.Because the products are the basis for existence and development for companies, and product strategy is the key to the success of the product, so it is particularly important that reasonable product strategy is developed according to the medical information service for Elsevier. This article mainly uses the literatures inductive method and example method to make and evaluate the product strategy for medical information service of Elsevier.The first chapter mainly introduces the the research background, purpose, significance and research methods and routes, and focusing on the product strategy to sort out the related theories, including the definition of product and product strategy, product lifecycle management, the theory of new product development, product portfolio theory, product brand theory and GE Matrix Method.The second chapter mainly introduces the current situation of market for medical information service products, the current product strategy for medical information service of Elsevier, and analyzes the existing problems for medical information service product of Elsevier.The third chapter interprets the foundation work for the product analysis and formulation as for medical information service of Elsevier, and emphasizes the prediction analysis of product market demand, customer demand and competitor's product strategy.The fourth chapter make product design and development for the medical information service products of Elsevier.The fifith chapter use product lifecycle management theory and GE Matrix method to evaluate the localization and diagnosis analysis for the medical information service products of Elsevier, and based on the results to develop a product promotion strategy, at the same time, considering that the market is dynamic. Then as an essential factor of the market, the products would inevitably be adjusted, so promotion strategy and assessment management for medical information service product of Elsevier is explored.Overall, based on the analysis of present situation and the existence question for medical information service products of Elsevier, in-depth discussion and research of corresponding product strategy, including basic work, product development, design, and product promotion and evaluation, is carried out in this study. The research work has a strong practical significance to formulate the strategy of medical information service products, and is useful to improve the competitiveness of Elsevier. In this case, because the limitations of data resource and time, perhaps there may be some bias in the analysis, but still hope that it can provide certain reference value for the development and evaluation of dynamic product strategy of other companies.
