The railway industry is development fast in recent years in CHINA. Many railway industry companies which are distributed throughout the country develop and growth through industry development trend. But the rapid expansion of the scale highlights the poor project quality management. International railway industry quality management standard IRIS was issued in 2006.CHINA railway industrial companies are also trying and summary the project quality management methods.In this paper, according to the implementation of traction equipment project in Beijing XX line metro, studied and summarized the method of quality management of metro equipment project. Using the project quality management method from PMBOK, based on the actual project, this paper discusses how to carry out the project quality plan, and how to well organize the project quality assurance and quality improvement. This paper focuses on the activities in each stage of metro traction equipment project, including the domains in project management, design, sourcing, procurement, industrialization, manufacturing, quality, testing, verification, commissioning and warranty, the person in charge of each activity, maturity requirements of output results in various stages etc. It introduced the concept of project quality development(DFQ), put quality objective as the target of project from the beginning, and throughout the project life cycle. Through the method of DFQ gate review, ensure that all stages of project reached the quality target, ensure the lowest risk existing when the project move to next phase, so as to ensure the whole project Q/C/D target can be achieved. The paper also introduced the quick response quality control(QRQC) method, make the project problems to be solved in the first place where it is detected in a timely manner, and the one which can not be solved can escalate from bottom to top, allocated resources from top to down to solve the problem timely and accurate and ensure the problem no longer occurs in the future, it well ensured the quality assurance and quality improvement programs.The methods and experience in this paper can be used as reference for other railway industry colleagues during the project quality management.
