Research And Application Of Responsive Material Delivery Management In ATO Enterprise

With the development of economic globalization and market-oriented economy, enterprises are facing increasingly fierce competition environment in the market and a lot of trade market has changed from seller's market to buyer's market. Therefore, faster and better response to the diverse needs of customers, deliver products with high quality and low cost and provide good after-sales service have become the key for enterprises to obtain competitive advantage. Therefore, more and more MTS enterprises, especially the automobile, computer and toy enterprise which are based on assembly has transformed into ATO(Assemble-to-order) type enterprise. By stocking parts in advance and assembling products according to the different needs of customers only after receiving the order, ATO enterprises can better and faster response to the needs of customer diversification. Due to the wide range of products and material, but the inventory space in the side of mixed flow assembly line is limited, the assembly line often need frequent material supply. So one material isn't replenished in time can cause stop of the entire assembly line. All This has brought a lot of difficulty to the material delivery management of ATO enterprise. Therefore, how to manage the material delivery effectively and response to the material demand of the assembly line rapidly have become an urgent problem.For the material delivery management problem in ATO enterprises, from the view of management layer, the implementation layer and the operation layer, this paper proposed to re-plan and redesign the enterprise's material distribution mode, distribution organization and distribution time to systematically improve the ATO enterprise's material management level and lay a good foundation for the realization of the strategic objectives of ATO enterprises. Firstly, it analyzed the current material distribution mode and its characteristics of ATO enterprises, the problems existing in the material distribution mode of ATO, then based on that, it proposed the basic idea and main content of quick response material delivery model, formed the operation process of quick response material delivery model with the aid of the Single Minute Exchange of Die(SMED) method, and at last it built the quick response material delivery model. Secondly, through the research of the ATO enterprise's current material delivery organization, it analyzed the demand of the responsive material distribution organization of the ATO enterprise and constructed a responsive material distribution organization. Thirdly, by studying the composition of delivery time of current materials distribution mode of and its existing problems in ATO enterprise and analyzing the delivery time of the quick response distribution mode, it establishes an optimization model of delivery time, and describes the solving method of the model. Finally, through the application into practical case, the feasibility and practical significance of this research is verified.
