The Research On Financial Support Of Agricultural Industrialization In Chongqing Three Gorges Reservoir

Rural economic development has always been an important indicator of national economic development from the ancient China. The industrialization of agriculture, as the only route to transform traditional agriculture to modern agriculture,has an important impact in the agricultural economy.And the efficiency of agricultural industrialization has attracted much public attention. Situated at the Qinba Mountain contiguous poverty-stricken area, Chongqing Three Gorges Reservoir has unique geographical location and the largest regional situation of which is agricultural situation. In 2005, the number of the total population of the reservoir was 1578.28 million, of which agricultural population accounts for more than 85 percent. In the realization of the process of modernization, industrialization of agriculture needed to be highly valued. However, funding is increasingly becoming a bottleneck to inhibit the development of the reservoir area with the development of agricultural economy.Based on domestic and international literature review, this paper analyzed and sorted out the industrialization of agriculture and financial support, aimed to explain the role of financial support on the industrialization of agriculture. Combined the development situations and the existed problems on the Capital requirements and supply situations of the subject, the writer explores the reasons for the existence of the financial repression in Three Gorges Reservoir Area in the development of the process agricultural industrialization. What's more, whether there is a positive relationship between the agricultural industrialization and financial support in Three Gorges Reservoir is proved through the factor analysis and regression analysis. At last, specific measures and recommendations are proposed to the development of Financial Support for Agricultural Industrialization in Chongqing Three Gorges Reservoir. The conclusions are as follows,First,even though the strength in financial support for agriculture in Chongqing Three Gorges Reservoir is increasing year by year, it still can't meet the needs of the development of agricultural industrialization. Second, the insufficient effective demands of the farmers and agribusiness lead to financial suppression in the reservoir areas. On the one hand, A large number of loans flows from rural into urban areas. On the other hand, formal finance are not tend to grant loan to farmers and small agriculture-related business loans. Third, Lack of vitality in formal financial institutions, congenitally deficient in Private financial, Absence of agricultural insurance, short of effective and feasible credit evaluation system and a sound credit guarantee system, all of which belong to important issues of the financial repression. Fourth, Empirical studies have shown that there exists a positive relationship between agricultural industrialization and financial support in the Three Gorges Reservoir while different counties are in different stages of the agricultural industrialization.
