The Research Of Wasted Farmland In Xinhua County

Land is not only the key indemnification for the living and development of farmers, but also the development of agriculture. With the fast pace of industrialization and urbanization, more and more peasant-workers go and work at cities. As a result of that, the labor force in rural area is decreasing constantly and more and more cultivated land has been abandoned. The conflicts between farmers and land are becoming more serious and the total area of cultivated land has almost dropped down below the red line of 1.8 billion mus. This not only wasted our limited land resources, but also threatened the food safety and social harmony and stability. Thus, researching and managing the problem of abandoning the cultivated lands in rural area has both academic and practical meanings.This research adopts literature research, questionnaire investigation and quantitative analysis.Through global references, this article analyzed and stated the concept, type and the corresponding effects of abandoned cultivated lands. By making a questionnaire about the main factors causing the abandoned cultivated lands and doing the research door by door in Xinhua county, collecting and analyzing the data got. The report select the abandoned cultivated land as dependent variable, family characters, revenues, lands conditions and conception as variate and use multi-factor linear regression model to analyze, get the result that the age and educational level of the head of the household, convenience for irrigating the lands and willingness of transferring the ownership are all significant influence on cultivated land abandonment.Based on the research, provide multiple solutions for to deal with the abandoned cultivated land in Xinhua county:increase the agriculture foundation building, improve the farmland producing conditions, increase the working skills of farmers, cultivate new farmers, increase the land management broadcasting,enhance the consciousness of the cultivated land protection,transferring the way of developing the agriculture, optimizing the the agriculture structure, perfect the social security system, increase the revenue of farmers. This could be a good example of how to deal with abandoned cultivated lands for other part of China.
