In February 2016, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council recently issued the "Opinions on Further Strengthening the urban planning and construction management", to guide the construction of livable city. The city is the carrier of people's living, so urban construction and the life of urban residents are inextricably linked. With the acceleration of urbanization, the urban population of the city gives urban construction a enormous challenge. In this case, a livable city is one of the main directions of urban construction, and it has also become the target of many cities. The concept of a livable city is a comprehensive evaluation of the suitability of the city, which thought with the advent of the emergence of the city. From the perspective of urban development point of view, China's livable urban construction started late. In recent years, through the joint efforts of the researchers in the study livable urban construction, we have made some achievements. At the same time, we should also note that our existing evaluation system emphasis on resident satisfaction is not enough. In 2014, Southwest University of Finance held the "National Center for Urban Residents'Satisfaction Survey", index system of this survey basically covers all aspects of the daily life of urban residents and reflects the residents of the urban construction level of satisfaction. Because the problem relates to the indicator system is consistent with the current mainstream of livable city evaluation system, so this article will lets enhancing the livelihood of the people satisfaction as the goal of building a livable city.In the field of social science research, we often think that society is a whole hierarchical structure. In this paper, respondents'satisfaction index is affected by micro-individual factors, but also affected by macroeconomic factors of their own city. So I put the factors affecting livelihood Satisfaction into macro and micro two categories. Through the establishment of hierarchical linear model (HLM), this article want to address the following questions:What are the individual characteristics of the respondents that will affect the livelihood of the people satisfaction; Which cities variables can affect people's livelihood satisfaction; Whether the relationship between individual characteristics and the livelihood of respondents satisfaction among respondents changes with the change of city. Through empirical analysis, we get the following conclusions. From the comparison of different cities livelihood satisfaction, if the city have a low population density of urban residents, it will have a high satisfaction of the people's livelihood the city with. On the one hand, with the increase of population, per capita use of public facilities will be reduced, which may bring inconvenience. On the other hand, the urban population per unit area increases, which will give the residents a greater oppressive psychologically. From the crowd in terms of features,30-39 year-old resident, having a huge burden of life, get the lowest satisfaction of people's livelihood. The residents with a higher household income have the higher satisfaction of people's livelihood. Women relative to men, is more likely to face unfair treatment, which makes their satisfaction significantly less than men. From elementary school to college, the satisfaction of people's livelihood gradually decrease, In the same time, from college to postgraduate, the satisfaction of people's livelihood haves opposite direction. The main reason may be that residents with the lower the education level may have stronger sense of self-satisfaction.
