“ Upward management ” is a more humanized management mode than the traditional management mode coming from the below,“Upward management”refers to get best results to the company,to the superior and to someone-self,cooperating with the superior working, which means the process of changing the superior. To someone being managed, the theory and practice of “upward management”are better to improve the tacit level between subordinates and superiors to make sure the right working direction with less effort and get more,at the same time,it can establish a more pleasant working environment. To mangers, the theory and practice of “upward management”are more beneficial to proper authorization, promoting the working enthusiasm of subordinate, enhancing the trust and etiquette of each other, and realizing a better performance. To carry out the “upward management” more effective,we must understand the principle deeply: understanding ourselves and superiors fully;assisting superiors to make decisions;good at managing leaders' time;giving problems and solutions at the same time;promising to achieve goals;keeping honest and building trust;paying attention to etiquette. And a better “upward management” needs more skills: offering information to change;winning more support from equative colleagues;sounding out our authorization from leaders;letting leaders to know more;giving specific communication ways to“problematic” leaders. The idea of “ upward management ” makes up the defect of traditional management theory. In the mode of “upward management”,the relationship between superiors and subordinates is not just rigid, but interdependency and win-win cooperation, achieving the developing goal of the enterprises through more perfect communication.
