In recent years, the people’s food consumption level has been greatly improved. The structure of food consumption has changed, but the existing agricultural production doesn’t connect with food consumption. Under the background of the current food consumption market structure has changed from seller’s market to buyer’s market, the change of food consumption structure will inevitably affect the structure of agricultural production.The research on food consumption and agricultural production of the adaptability problem carries on the system analysis, found to adapt to the changes in the consumption structure of agricultural production structure adjustment, in order to provide the valuable guidance for the reasonable adjustment of agricultural production structure.Based on the theoretical analysis of food consumption and agricultural production structure, this paper analyzes the current situation and trend of food by using descriptive statistical analysis and ELES model in Sichuan, then, it analyzed the current situation and problems of agricultural production. The key point is to discuss the direction of the agricultural production structure adjustment in Sichuan by using the grey correlation model. Finally, it put forward the countermeasures and suggestions. The main conclusions of thesis are as follows:(1) Sichuan residents’ food consumption structure will show the characteristics of external, diversified and scientific, mainly displays in:diet and consumption of the rapid increase in the proportion of; reduce the proportion of the cereal grain, potato and beans proportion of greatly improved; reduce the proportion of fat in food; meat, egg and milk, reducing the proportion of meat, the rapid increase in the proportion of milk, poultry, the proportion of eggs increased rapidly; aquatic products category rapid growth, increase in food in the proportion of; fruit consumption proportion of greatly improved, reducing the proportion of vegetables; confectionery and beverages on behalf of processed foods in the food consumption ratio increased rapidly.(2) The problems existed in the agricultural production structure in Sichuan:low proportion of forestry, animal husbandry and fishery service industry output value; livestock product structure is not reasonable; backward agricultural product processing industry; agricultural production to meet food consumption, product quality is not high.(3) In animal husbandry, it should give priority to the development of the dairy industry, followed by cattle, poultry meat and poultry eggs, the pig industry. In food crops, it should give priority to the development of rice, followed by sweet potato and corn, followed by soybeans, and finally the wheat. In economic crops, it should give priority to the development of sugar cane, followed by fruits and vegetables, and finally the peanut and rape and other oil crops, fruit in the development of apple and citrus, appropriate control of peach and walnut production.On the basis of the above research, this paper puts forward the following countermeasures: strengthening policy support and guiding the orderly adjustment of agricultural production structure; strengthening the construction of agricultural science and technology service system, strengthening the scientific and technological support for agricultural structure adjustment; improving the level of agricultural products processing and promoting the healthy development of agricultural production structure adjustment; speeding up the production of green high quality agricultural products and promoting the healthy adjustment of agricultural production structure.
