Research On The Development Of Ecological Farm Economy In Taigu Of Shanxi Province

With the rapid progress of urbanization, the vast rural areas appeared a lot of "hollow villages", resulting in the idle phenomena of "four barrens" (wastelands, barren hillsides, barren hillocks and desolated beaches).These phenomena are more and more prominent, which has greatly restricted the development of rural economy and influenced the harmony of ecology. With the successful practice achievement in Zuoquan and Yuci of Shanxi Province, the ecological manor economy, as a new pattern of agricultural economic development model, provides a new way for the economic development in hilly and mountainous areas.After implementing the strategy of "one city, two towns and three major functional areas", Taigu County in Shanxi Province has produced more than 130 "shrinking villages" or "hollow villages". In order to make full use of these rural idle resources and assets, the government and Party Committee of Taigu county have vigorously promoted the economic development of the ecological manors. At present, twelve ecological manors have had certain scale and achieved delightful benefits in economy, society, culture and ecology, which has changes the low efficient situation of agricultural production in hilly areas.Since 2014, the author has carried a spot investigation to the key ecological manors in Taigu County. All the data are collected and analyzed in the form of visits and discussions. According to the relevant theoretical knowledge of rural and regional development, the author has analyzed the background and present status of the ecological manors’ economy in Taigu County by the methods of the qualitative and quantitative analysis. At the same time, the author has specifically analyzed four large-scale ecological manors and put forward the corresponding countermeasures to solve the practical difficulties and problems in these ecological manors’ construction and development. By researching the practice of ecological manors’ economy in Taigu County, the author aims to provide practical experience and reference for solving the "agriculture, countryside and farmer" issues in China and promoting the integration of urban and rural development.
