Research On Wage Gap And Influencing Factors In Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region

Regional and urban development issues related to the overall situation of China's economic and social development,City circle and integration is also the theme of Chinafs economic development in the future.The 12th Five-Year Plan increased the integration of Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei Region to the national strategy,what is more,The 13th Plan bring it the one of the main work.Meanwhile,its sustained economic growth and unique geographical location attract more and more attention.Promoting the integration of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region becomes the inner requirement of the rapid economic and social development.The wage gap between regional cities may replace the original gap between regions and the gap between urban and country,and become an importment issue that can't be ignored,especially in the current background of the economic transformation and the construction of a socialist harmonious society.However,from the view of the whole nation,the coordinated development of regional economic in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is far behind the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta region,The existence of the wage gap between Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei even hindered the coordinated development of regional economy.So analyzing the current situation of the wage gap,exploring the influence factors in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region and taking effective measures to reduce the gap in the only way to make a integrated region which owns coordinated economic development and harmonious society.This paper use the combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods to analyze the current situation of the wage gap in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and establish a panel data model to analyze influencing factors.The study finds that the industrial structure,the education level,foreign trade has significant effects on wages,the impact of industrial structure is the largest.Based on these,the paper gives suggestions of reducing wage gap in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to promote regional economic coordinated development and better regional integration.
