Correlation Of Urban Integration And Well-being Of Migrant Workers

The group of migrant workers is a special social product of urbanization in China,2015,China's urbanization rate was 56.10%,and there were 277.47 million migrant workers.However,they got into the spell of passive urbanization.There will be more migrant workers,staying at the border of rural and urban social system.Whether migrant workers can smoothly integrate into the urban social life or not,directly affect their perception of life and society.The well-being of urban migrant workers has relation to their satisfaction of urban life and the healthy development of urbanization.Therefore,the study of urban integration and well-being has great significance in realizing people-centered urbanization and keeping social stability.Most of the researches on migrant workers are focusing on their urban situation,or deeply analyzing one aspect of migrant workers urban integration,and proposing solutions.But only few researches on well-being from the angle of migrant workers urban integration yet.Urban integration with multiple dimensions can analyze problem from a macro-level perspective and capture the essence of the problem,then make up the traditional theory focusing on phenomenon.The attention to the satisfaction of urban social vulnerable group living space has practical meaning to enhance the urban integration and people's well-being.On this view,this study tries to blend in urban integration with well-being,to explore the deep relationship of urban integration and well-being of migrant workers,to explore factors affecting the well-being of migrant workers from urban integration perspective,not only can enhance the well-being of urban migrant workers,but also enrich existing theory to some extent,and expend the scope of urban integration and well-being study.Research based on the document analysis at domestic and overseas about urban integration and well-being,defining the research content,then adopt the method of questionnaire survey to collect data of Xi 'an migrant workers,in order to access to micro level and space level data.Using statistical approach,such as SPSS and ArcGIS10.1to measure the urban integration degree and well-being index,spatial features,and their relationships,research shows:(1)The characteristics of urban integration degree: the overall situation is in the low degree.Cultural and social integration are better than psychological and political integration.The characteristics of well-being index: overall it is in the low level,and the lowest is perception of respected well-being.Urban integration and happiness are affected by personal characteristic variables.(2)The space differentiation of migrant workers' urban integration degree in Xi'an is distinct: overall,the northern Great site protection zone low area;eastern military Peak District;The western Electronic District and southwest High-tech Zone are second peak areas.(3)Migrant workers well-being index has differentiation spatial distribution: overall,eastern military area is significantly higher than other regions.Northern Great site protection zone shows low-lying shape.The southern cultural and educational area is higher than northern Great site protection zone.Central business district is higher than the surrounding.(4)As the result of correlation analysis in SPSS 19.0,it is showed that there is certain positive correlation between urban integration degree and well-being index of migrant workers in main urban districts of Xi'an.Economic integration and social integration have positive prediction to well-being.
