Study On The Spatial Integration Of Migrant Workers In Zhengzhou's Construction Industry

The object of this paper is the urban integration of migrant workers in construction industry in Zhengzhou.In our opinion,the integration of rural migrant workers in the cities is not only based on a sound system,but also on the actions of migrant workers who are totally dependent on them.The integration of migrant workers into the cities is carried out simultaneously in the institutional and subjective factors.Therefore,we take Giddens' s theory of "structural duality" as the theoretical analysis tool and use Lefebvre's "dialectics of space" as the analytical framework of this paper to analyze the process and results of urban integration of migrant workers in construction industry in Zhengzhou.According to our survey,branches surveyed by the major branches of the city's construction industry in Zhengzhou responded better to urban life.However,the situation in urban integration is not optimistic and is generally in a "semi-integrated" state."Semi-integration" does not mean that all aspects are relatively better or less integrated,but rather that they are outside the real-life urban rights system.Urban practice space is squeezed,urban life is not very satisfactory,However,they are accustomed to this state and have adapted to this unfair treatment.At the psychological level,they formed a dual mentality of "adaptation-dissatisfaction",that is,the dual mentality of "adapting" to urban life but "dissatisfying" with urban society.To be specific,integration of household registration and education of accompanying children should be better,and integration of living,community inclusion,employment integration,social security integration and psychological integration still need to be promoted.Due to the nature of the construction industry,migrant workers in the construction industry are less able to work and live in cities,which also leads to the difficulty of forming a complete coverage of the urban migrant workers' groups in the existing urban social security system,and the city's non-acceptance and responsibility The nonresponsibility of the main body will in turn lead to the closure of prejudice and self-psychological confinement of urban migrant workers in the construction industry,thus affecting their urban integration into practice.In this regard,we put forward some feasible suggestions on promoting urban integration of migrant workers in constructionindustry in Zhengzhou from material,social and psychological aspects,and provide practical evidence for promoting the integration of rural migrant workers in construction industry in Zhengzhou.
