With the rapid growth of domestic demand for natural gas, large natural gas pipeline network trends to be integration and large-scale. This trendency is bound to aggravate the difference between the gas supply and the gas demand. There are many methods of gas peaking to solve the contradiction between the supply and demand of natural gas. This paper studies on the pipeline peaking method. There are varies schemes in pipeline peaking, so comprehensive evaluation theories need to be used. In this paper, the Yu-Ji gas pipeline network is studied.First, the structure and basic parameters of Yu-Ji network are collected and organized. Yu-Ji network model was established using the SPS software.Secondly, on the basic of gas-user laws, operating conditions and boundary conditions, pipeline network parameters was constantly adjusted to obtain peaking program set in line with the process conditions. The parameter values of the corresponding evaluation index were extracted.Thirdly, basing the load of the pipeline network, seven evaluation indexes were chosen: pipeline storage volume, actual throughput, the highest pressure, the lowest pressure, compressor expenditure, pipeline revenue, number of supply and demand imbalance.These indicators are fully reflect the characteristics of peaking project. The subjective and objective method were combined to calculate the weight of each indexFinally, comprehensive evaluation methods were employed to evaluat the peaking program set. The evaluation process was divided into two phases. The first stage, six evaluation methods were adopted when evaluating, including set pair analysis, linear weighting method, gray correlation method, TOPSIS method, the cumulative value method, and the RSR method. Respectively, the corresponding evaluation value and sort is gained. The second stage, combination evaluation method based on driftance of evaluation results were employed to get the best peak-shaving program. According to the evaluation result, suggestion is provide for decision makers of the pipeline network.
