Being in Shanghai for almost four years,writer – who come from Indonesia,see that there is a lot of differences in Indonesia and Chinese culture.But one thing that remains the same and never fails to attract people's attention,Foods! Here in Shanghai,people can try so many foods from around the world.Not only that they have those restaurant here,but also because they treat food as a pleasure.“chihuo” is one of writers favorites Chinese word,it refers to people who loves and enjoy eating so much.From this phenomenon,writer takes this as an opportunity to make an Indonesian Culinary Festival to attract the millennial group in Shanghai and to promote more about Indonesian.The project will focus on VI design,which is related to writer's major in visual communication design.During the progress of making this project,writer first do some research about what is the uniqueness of Indonesian culinary,these has lead the research to know more about the fragrant,the taste,the color,the shapes,and also how to cook.Not only from these perspectives,writer also do more research about the concept of design and what kind of festival that may attract more audiences.Since the festival will be held in Shanghai,the project is focusing to offer the design which has a modern taste,yet still have meaningful thoughts from Indonesian culture.In the progress,writer also put some personal experiences from Indonesian who lives in Shanghai perspectives.Writers hope that Indonesian Culinary Festival will attract people to have more interest in Indonesian culinary and culture.
