The object of this paper is to develop a kind of flexible heating element with the functions of heating and temperature conception by a novel and facile method.So,flexible heating fusible interlining fabrics are studied.In this paper,the aging properties of thermistor copper and fusible interlining fabrics were tested and analyzed firstly,and flexible heating fusible interlining fabrics were fabricated by a simple thermal bonding method.Then,these heating fabrics were characterized by performing a series of experiments,such as the research on the principle of temperature controlling,infrared thermal performance testing,power consumption testing and mechanical properties testing and so on.In addition,a flexible temperature-sensing heating element was prepared using the flexible heating fabrics and thermal discoloration ink,and its temperature-sensing effect was analyzed.The results show that,after ten days aging,the copper wires’ elongation at break decreased by 5.68%,whereas the fusible interlining didn’t have obvious change in mechanical properties with the increasing aging time and aging temperature,it means that the materials can be used to fabricate the heating elements.The temperature of the heating elements was linear correlative strongly with resistance,loaded voltage and power consumption of that,and the correlation coefficients were all more than 0.99,and this is helpful to achieve temperature controlling function.By extracting and analyzing the infrared temperature images on the surface of the heating elements,it was found that reducing the spacing of copper wires and the loaded voltage,improving the thermal conductivity of the bonding fabric can not only increase the heating temperature and heating rate,but also diminish the temperature difference so that the heating elements were kept at a fairly even temperature.And the preset equilibrium temperature(20℃,25℃,30℃,35℃ and 40℃)of the heating elements had a significant linear correlative with the power consumption of those in the cold environment(0℃,-10℃ and-20℃)by simulating the heating in the garments,the correlation coefficients were more than 0.997,and the internal equilibrium temperature can reach 40℃ less than 6W power consumption even in-20℃environment temperature.After performing 240 hours ageing at 100℃,the peel strength of the flexible heating elements increased by 21.29 N,but after 30 times of washing,the mechanical properties have no obvious change,which showed good water washing performance.Moreover,the flexible heating elements with temperature perception can achieve reversible intelligent temperature sense and color change and heating,which is prepared from single-layer discoloration and multi-layer continuous temperature-sensitive fabrics combined with heating fabrics.Therefore,the flexible heating clothing elements with temperature perception will have wide application prospects in active warming garments field.
