Piezoelectric ignition powder actuator is a kind of new electric actuator which comb-ine the igniting part of Shielded conductive detonator and the Actuating part of traditional powder actuator.Traditional electrothermal bridge wire ignition powder actuator need a larger power and a more complex power supply activation,control and management syst-em,all of these problems can be solved efficiently.In order to improve some data,theore-tical analysis,numerical simulation and experimental verification are used to research the basic principle and dynamic characteristics of the piezoelectric actuator.In order to analyze the impact of piezoelectric ceramic size of piezoelectric actuator to the ignition performance,the theory of piezoelectric process is studied systemically.Then,5 kinds of performance parameter of piezoelectric material are obtained through analyzing the piezoelectric effect,main parameters,structure design and process of piezoelectric cer-amic materials.The result shows that Lead zirconium titanate piezoelectric ceramics is mo-re suitable as power material for detonator piezoelectric ignition powder actuator.In addi-tion,without taking compressive strength into account of these 5 kinds of piezoelectric materials,these materials can produce Critical dimensions of piezoelectric ceramics,500 V voltage,1500 pf capacitor under the 5 MPa,10 MPa,20 MPa,50 MPa and 100 MPa bore pressure,respectively.To analyze the selling process of the piezoelectric ignition powder actuator,theore-tical analysis and calculation are conducted firstly,then,Abel equation of state theory is applied to analyze motion process of actuator to obtain functional relation between closed cavity gas pressure and displacement.Using Newton's second law theory dynamic pin dis-placement,thrust,speed and time function can be derived,then the numerical simulation is carried out by ANSYS/LS-DYNA software to obtain the function relation of force,displ-acement,velocity and time,through analyzing the relationship of images theoretically,the creditability of theoretical analysis is validated.Finally,comparing the Simulation data and production data,the creditability of numerical simulation is validated.In order to analyze the dynamic characteristics of wire and insulation properties of piezoelectric ceramics,the Size and thickness of piezoelectric ceramic sheets are designed again according to Crushing strength of piezoelectric ceramics,these design can make piezoelectric ceramics produce no more than 600 Voltage and reduce the possibility of reducing the high voltage current breakdown wire produced by the piezoelectric ceramics.Through analyzing the performance of conventional conductor insulation materials,the reason why Conventional conductor can not be used in piezoelectric ignition powder actuator is pointed out.In addition,the advantages and disadvantages of 5 kinds of Actuator conductor are Summarized,and ethylene-propylene rubber is chosen finally as insulating material of conductor of a piezoelectric ignition actuator.In order to test the performance of actuator,the insulation resistance test,moisture absorption test,2 m drop test and electrical ignition sensitivity test were designed and tested,and then test verification and result analysis are conducted finally.
