Through generally analyzing the current situation of S&A used for small-caliber spinning projectile fuze both home and abroad, summarizing its technique characteristics, adopted fine new structure design and a lot of theoretical calculation, designing a kind of fine new runaway clockwork mechanism S&A used for small-caliber spinning projectile fuze, realizing its miniaturization and generalization. Paper applied computer technique, adopted Pro/E software to build three-dimensional model for the mechanism, and adopted ADAMS software to carry out the dynamical simulation analysis for the mechanism. Paper rectified the reliability of the design by laboratory experiment and proving-ground firing test, estimated the integrated performance of the S&A, technical problems have been solved such as safety and function reliability of the runaway clockwork mechanism in the condition of high overload, it met the user's technical data requirement, and established a firm base for the technique development of small-caliber fuze.The design followed the design philosophy of "small-caliber fuze foundational type" to make the device can be used to several small-caliber spinning projectile warhead or base fuze, strived to realize the "currency, seriation, combination" of small-caliber spinning projectile fuze S&A, made amends for the shortage of long-term small-caliber fuze S&A in our country such as variety and poor generalization, conquered the technical defects of existing small-caliber fuze such as short muzzle safety distance of mechanical delay arming mechanism, large safety distance scatter, poor long-term storage performance.
