Risk-based Inspection Of The Application Of RBI Technology In The Pressure Vessel Inspection Process

Pressure vessel is an important equipment in the production of Marine oil offshore platforms, the vessel accidents will bring great economic losses and casualties. Traditional testing method is the lack of "test" and "excessive" checking out problems, and can not adapt to sea pressure vessel inspection requirements, not only low efficiency, and can not accurately evaluate risk grade of pressure vessel, which could reduce and control risk, to some extent, affects the safe operation of the offshore platform and economic benefits.Risk Base Inspection (RBI) technique is a new technology methodof the risk assessment management and optimized inspection. The RBI technology is proved that can improve equipment reliability and reduce the test cost effective risk analysis tool, so the RBI technology application of pressure vessel inspection process has important practical value on the offshore platform.First, the article introduced the basic theory of the RBI technology, illustrated the RBI risk analysis method and the implementation process. And then analysis the influencing factors of quantitative risk. By analyzing the test strategy formulation process, summed up the principle of test strategy. With thorough analysisof the RBI technology application in offshore pressure vessel inspection process, including basic data analysis, screening, assessment, and focus on three failure probability of pressure vessel and the quantitative analysis of the failure consequences of process, it is concluded that the overall risk of pressure vessel safety and economy analysis. According to the results of risk analysis of pressure vessel inspection strategy, this paper put forward the concrete inspection schedule and structure.The applicationof RBI technology in pressure vessel inspection processcan solvethe lack of "test" and "excessive" inspection and improve the test efficiency, even reduce the test cost and reduce the controlriskto the acceptable range, which can bring enormous economic and security benefitsfor the offshore platform.
