With the more improvement of urban infrastructure construction,the focus of urban transportation planning has begun from the“Facilities planning”to;“Policy design”.The key to policy design is to understand the law of human behavioral response and evolution.However,due to ignoring the origin of travel,the traditional four stage method based on travel is not sensitive to the behavior changes caused by the traffic policy,and is gradually replaced by the activity-based approach.Activity-based approach the travel is derived for activity,and decision-making of individual have to be restricted by the space-time environment.In addition,as the most basic living environment,the family would have an important impact on individual decision-making.Therefore,this paper takes the family as the research unit,emphasizes the influence of the family on the decision-making of family activities,and uses the time geography theory to study the decision-making of the family activity pattern so as to realize the goal of explaining the behavior of the trip from the residents' activity mode.the study scope of this thesis includes the following contents.This paper expounds the space-time path theory and space-time prism theory in the advantages and application of spatial behavior and interpersonal interaction behavior in humans.However,considering the inconsistent between demander and performer of activity at home,the paper extends the traditional space-time path to further improve space-time path expression of the family joint activity-travel behavior.Secondly,this paper constructs the spatio-temporal data model based on the extended space-time path.And this paper uses joint purpose,at the same time and same place three indicators to identify the joint activity/travel based on spatio-temporal data model.Then,this section developed a three dimensional visualization tool based on the family activity-travel space-time data.Based on the above mentioned spatial and temporal data model,combined with the Visual Studio 2010 and AcrEngine using C#as the development language,the 3D visualization of the main joint activity/travel information was realized.Thirdly,considering the activity pattern decision-making process of family contains multi-person and multi-activity,the study constructs activity preference indicators of family role and members of the combination to expressing the multi-person,and constructs the remaining time budget indicator to reflect the characteristics of many activities.Otherwise,to construct the activity pattern generation model of family,the study also taking into account the duration of the activity,the attraction of the location,the distance of the travel distance and other factors,combining the space-time prism theory.Fourthly,we design a family activity pattern generation tool using the VBA programming language based on the Excel development tool.The purpose of tool is to recommend the optimal activity pattern for the family,including the activities related participants,the position of activity,the activity time and the travel mode.The planning and forecasting of residents' travel routes may more accurate according to family activity patterns.
