Rapid urbanization process had increased awareness of the protection of historical area.How to update the various types of historic buildings,has already become the focus of attention.Meanwhile,industry for the historical area and non-historical area of study are quite in-depth.Few studies involve boundary region.Sense challenges to border regions in the process of urban development are more difficult,this article will focus on the boundary of historical area.This paper takes the buildings of Xisibeibatiao district as the research objects.Firstly,it carries out field reconnaissance of each courtyard in Xisibeibatiao district.Then it investigates and records the update methods,update skills and updated states of each courtyard.Summarizes the renewal methods of the buildings of Xisibeibatiao districtOn the basis of field research,this paper analyzes the update methods of the buildings of Xisibeibatiao district.Summarizes the renewal methods of the buildings of Xisibeibatiao district,that is,local repairs,completely dismantled and built,local demolition and reconstruction,and local plus construction.at the same time,analyse the updated measures for each type of methods in combination with cases.The article summarizes the results of the renovation measures of Xisibeibatiao district from the aspects of courtyard pattern,architectural style and street-level interface.According to the above,the paper sums up the advantages and disadvantages of the renovation measures in Xisibeibatiao district.Finally,combined with the advantages and disadvantages of the current construction features of the architecture of Xisibeibatiao district and the renewal measures taken,the article puts forward the principle and the renewal strategy of architecture renewal of Xisibeibatiao district.
