Clinical Observation Of Chinese Medicine Mud Moxibustion For Treating Knee Osteoarthritis Of Cold And Dampness Syndrome

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of TCM(Traditional Chinese Medicine)Mud Moxibustion treatment of cold dampness blockage type Knee Osteoarthritis.Methods The patients were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group with the method of random number table,6 cases were dropped.The treatment group was treated with TCM mud moxibustion by the hospital made mud moxibustion(n = 33),and the control group was treated with Warm Needling Moxibustion therapy(n = 33).both1 days 1 times,5 days for 1 course of treatment,2 days apart,a total of 4 courses.Using Osteoarthritis Index(WOMIC)before and after the score,TCM symptoms and signs score changes in evaluation,the total effective rate and total obvious effective rate,pain relief and the disappearance time of treatment before and after 2 courses of treatment,after 4 courses of treatment,the curative effect was evaluated,and the statistics and analysis of data.Results 1.Comparison of the two groups before treatment,osteoarthritis index WOMAC score and pain,stiffness and daily activity score,TCM symptoms and signs score showed no significant difference(P > 0.05).they were comparable.2.Comparison of the two groups before and after treatment,there was a statistically significant difference in WOMAC total score,total score of pain and daily activity score and TCM symptoms and signs total score(P < 0.01),but no significant differences in stiffness score(P > 0.05).3.After 2 weeks of treatment,WOMAC pain score between the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05).WOMAC total score,stiffness and daily activity score had no significant difference(P > 0.05).4.There was no significant difference between the two groups in the treatment of pain,stiffness,daily activity score,pain disappearance time,Total effective rate and total efficiency after treatment for 4 weeks(P > 0.05).There was a significant difference in pain relief time after treatment for 4 weeks(P < 0.05).Conclusion The treatment effect of TCM Mud Moxibustion and Warm Needling Moxibustion of cold dampness syndrome have a certain degree of Knee Osteoarthritis.They can effectively relieve joint pain and dysfunction in patients with Knee Osteoarthritis.The effect of TCM Mud Moxibustionon knee pain was earlier than that of Warm Needling Moxibustion.
