| In today's society,cross-disciplinary research methods are being progressively implemented.Through other discipline's research methodology and practices,one is able to improve and realize their flaw.The focus of this thesis is based on how design methods and Chinese medicine practice can benefit each other by using cross-disciplinary research methods.Design methods influence on Chinese medicine in this essay does not refer to the usage of Chinese medicinal herbs or medical procedure.This essay will focus on the elaboration of how design methodology such as user research and experience could benefit the application of Chinese medicine in patient's everyday life.By understanding the foundation of how Chinese medicine is applied and how different patient can maximize the benefit of this application through their lifestyle and environment will be the basis of this thesis.This essay will be structured from how design research is used in western medicine and reflect this to how it can be reapplied into eastern culture as well as eastern/Chinese medicine.Using the above mentioned method,this thesis aim to look into space/environmental design and focus on a user's mental well-being by harmonizing humans and nature(their environment).Using-design as a foundation to suggest a practical outcome for Chinese medicinal practice and healthcare. |
