Chinsese landscap painting originates from the Jin Dynasty and is completed during the period of the Liu and Song Dynasty. after that stages, what is followed is the big development at the early time of the Tang and the sudden change at the vigorous time of the tang Dynasty. The ink landscap painting appears in the middle time of the Tang, which plays a leading role in Chinese painting for almost thousand of years after it is totally matured during the time of the end of the tang and the Five Dynastyies. The blank-cloth is also plays an important part and the essential expression pattern in Chinese landscap painting. After seeing the different stages of the landscap painting, the blank-cloth is the essential factor,which enlarge the viewers Imaginary space and impressed them with different experiences and feelings. The main purpose of this essay is to analyze the characteristics of the blank-cloth of Chinese landscap painting by the analysis of different works of NiZan and to brief introduce the indispensability and function of the blank-cloth in the creation of the Chinese landscap painting.The essay contains: the main part of the first chapter is the introduction of the concept of blank-cloth,which analyses and elaborates the concept of the blank-cloth and further summarize and conclude the important role of the blank-cloth skill in Chinese landscap painting.The second chapter is to further analyse the blank features and the aesthetic characteristics of the painting style represented by the different works of the painter Ni Zan and the influence to the development of the following Chinese landscap painting. The third chapter expounds the indispensability of the blank-colth skill in the creation of the landscap painting in the overall.The fourth chapter,taking the history as a mirror, is a simple analysis of the creation status and the requirments for the young painter from the view of the contempoary Chinese landscap painting.With the rapidly development of the contemporary landscap painting and the emergence of a large number of yound painters, it is the essential to sum up some blank-cloth skills and is agreed with the solvement of the realistic problems which must be faced such as the relation between the white and black, the pen and the ink and so on.So in this situation,only when we inherit what we learn from the past and expand what grasp at the present,further fully master the whole from the past and the present, and then understand the tradition which will make yourselves more and more replenish by the deep into the life can we make contribution to the deveiopment of the Chinese landscap painting.
