Chinese painting is a tradition art from with a long history. It can reflect the social consciousness and aesthetic temperament and interest of the Chinese nation’s art as well, which has a profound cultural connotation and philosophy background. Further more, "blank" technique has developed a school of its own. As a special form of composition of Chinese painting, it can make people strike the table and shout bravo. The research of "blank" art is of far-reaching significance to better creation and appreciation of Chinese landscape painting. Therefore, the paper starts from the ideological connotation and philosophy origin of "blank" in Chinese landscape painting,and combining with the concert art works of different periods to the analyze of "blank" in Chinese landscape painting the creation art value, and finally discusses the modern significance of "blank" in the Chinese landscape painting creation, which make "blank" in the application of Chinese landscape painting has more extensive and free,and meanwhile makes it have stronger expression and eternal appeal.This thesis mainly studies from the following five parts to study:the first chapter is the introduction part, which mainly summarizes the significance of the paper’s selected topic and analyzes current research status and research methods at home and abroad. The second chapter mainly discusses the connotation and philosophy origin of "blank" in Chinese landscape painting, including the world outlook of yi jing,zhuang zi’s philosophy thought, the Confucian aesthetic thought and the zen ideology which have a certain influence on the "blank" of Chinese landscape painting. The third chapter analyzes the manifestation of "blank" in Chinese traditional painting. By combining with the art of different historical periods, the fourth chapter analyzes the "blank" in Chinese landscape painting creation art value, which not only contains the traditional Chinese spirit of art, but also plays an important role in Chinese landscape painting creation. It is an important means of the Chinese landscape painting creation condition, "blank" in the picture is the place of life flowing in the entire history of the artistic conception.
