The Solfeggio course is a basic course of the theory of music, and it is also a compulsory course for music learners. To improve the comprehensive music accomplishment, it is necessary to strengthen the Solfeggio training for the folk music undergraduates. According to years of learning folk music experience, the author has found many problems in the process of Solfeggio training for folk music undergraduates and considered that we should try to find some right ways to solve these problems and improve the Solfeggio training learning.This thesis is based on reality, and made an analysis to find some methods to improve the Solfeggio teaching and training for folk music undergraduates, which methods could let the Solfeggio teaching and training method have universality and particularity.This thesis consists of four chapters.The first chapter is the analysis of the problems in Solfeggio course learning for folk music undergraduates. This chapter expatiates issues like insufficient understanding of Solfeggio course, problems occurring during the switching from numbered musical notation to stave, reading problems of tonic solfa and fixed tune, and the thinking limitation in switching from monophonic to polyphonic for folk music undergraduates in studying Solfeggio course.The second chapter is the analysis of the Sightsinging training. This chapter analyzes the approaches which can improve the level of sightsinging for folk music undergraduates through the cultivation of the ability to read music, multi-tone singing training and the practice of “self-playing and self-singing”.The third chapter is the analysis of the Ear training. This chapter is based on the second chapter and it further expounds that how to training in an Ear training course for folk music undergraduates through the sense of pinch training, sense of rhythm training and sense of timing training.The fourth chapter is the editing assumption of the Solfeggio course teaching material for folk music undergraduates. In this chapter, the author puts forward personal suggestions on the Solfeggio teaching material compilation based on the principles of selection of teaching material and the assumption that putting Chinese traditional music and pop music into teaching material.Through the discussion of this article, the author elaborates the problems in Solfeggio course training for folk music major undergraduates in practice. According to these existing problems, the author further discusses and summaries the teaching method of Solfeggio course for the folk music major undergraduates.
