The “post-philosophical culture” is not from Rorty's whim. And it is not from a single “Breeding ground”.Instead, the generation of “post-philosophical culture” has its three “Breeding ground”, including the background of the problem, the social and historical background and the theoretical origin. This makes it possible for us to explore the “Post-philosophical Culture”. So, what is the “Post-philosophical Culture”? On this point, Rorty did not give a clear definition. Instead, he has just used fragmented text depicts such a “Culture”—after overthrowing the theological dominant position in the cultural field, because of abhorrence for the philosophical dominant position in the cultural field, people advocated to establish a “Post-philosophical Culture”.This makes people think that the “Post-philosophical Culture” seems to stay in the two aspects, for “Philosophy” and “Culture”. In fact, this is a misunderstanding for the “Post-philosophical Culture”. From the Rorty's perspectives of the “Post-philosophical Culture”, it seems that there are some aspects which the “Post-philosophical Culture” including. 1, The “Post-philosophical Culture” register as the feature of “Post-a special philosophy”, which as the answer to the “absence of Philosophy”.It's necessary to make an explanation on the “Philosophy” for the “Post-philosophical Culture”; 2, Because the “Post-philosophical Culture” was born in the Scientism era. Therefore, the explanation on the “Philosophy” can not have the lack of the the explanation about “Science”; 3, The “Post-philosophical Culture” is a kind of culture, a kind of post-modernist culture with the characteristics of “Post-Philosophy”. So the discusses about it can not have the lack of the explanation about the “Culture”; 4, Because the “Post-philosophical Culture” is a new culture, a new culture with the characteristics of “Pluralism”. Thus, the traditional view of truth will lose their effectiveness, and the new view of truth will emerge. Therefore, the discusses about the “Post-philosophical Culture” can also not have the lack of the explanation about “the view of Truth”; 5, The “Post-philosophical Culture” is growing up in the background of “the absence of Philosophy” and “the crisis of Modernity. And as the answer to these two questions, the “Post-philosophical Culture” must complete the investigations about the original trace of philosophy and the status of Post-modernism. So, it will show a characteristic of ethics. As a result, the discuss of the “Post-philosophical Culture” will also has its Reality issues.In the face of the questions about “the absence of Philosophy” and “the crisis of Modernity”, which the century give us, Rorty used his pragmatism to achieve the integration of the European and Anglo American tradition, and built up the “Post-philosophical Culture” as a more comprehensive answer. In Rorty's “Post-philosophical Culture”, the “Philosophy” restored its attribute of “Wisdom”, which it had happened in its birth. And it is shown as the “Practical wisdom” in the actual life. In the view of Rorty, it could be the best solution for people to think and solve the “crisis of Modernity”. Because the crisis of modernity originates from people's ignorance of “Practical wisdom”—In the chasing for the myth of rationalism including “the Great Philosophy” and “the excessive Scientism”, people gradually cut his ties with “practical wisdom” and turn to believe in some surreal, Essentialism and Foundationalism. Although in the war against obscurantism, people benefit from it. But it is also making the new obscurantism. Faced with this reality, people have to question it, as firmly as before.So, is the “Post-philosophical Culture” which is based on a new creed worth to believe? The most study of the “Post-philosophical Culture” should be done is this. It does not have a necessary connection between the establishment of the legitimacy of the new doctrine and the criticism for the old doctrine. And the effectiveness of the new doctrine remains to be tested. It should be on guard against the great influence of old ideas on us, when we build our new ideas. It is no doubt that the old dogma has more advantage in influencing our language, behavior and habits of thinking. Therefore, it is reasonable to see the new doctrine's effect in the confrontation between the old and the new.In the confrontation between the attack against “Post-philosophical Culture” and the defense of “Post-philosophical Culture”, we found the problems mainly focus on “Relativism or Pragmatism?”, “Anti-Foundationalism or Another form of Foundationalism?” and “Academic commercialization or Not?” these several aspects. Although Rorty's “Post-philosophical Culture” did not completely eliminate the differences between him and the critics. But the confrontation deepens our understanding of the “Post-philosophical Culture”.The “Post-philosophical Culture” advocates a diversified and open cultural environment. There are many positive meanings to our socialist culture construction. First of all, it makes us have to reflect on whether we have already followed the instructions of “Great Words” and “Excessive Scientism” in our cultural construction activities. Secondly, it enables us to think that how we can develop our “Modernization” and how we can deal with the relationships between our culture and the foreigh culture in such an era of information. Undoubtedly, the thought of “Post-philosophical Culture” can make us think like this. However, in the primary stage of “Post-philosophical Culture”, it also needs our participation in the construction. It can be said that the meaning of the “Post-philosophical Culture” depends on our understanding of it.
