Onomatopoeia and mimetic words in Korean language are developed, not only often used in everyday life, but also widely used in poetry, novels and other literary works, news, network language and television. Onomatopoeia and mimetic words are particularly frequently used in cartoon and network language, and also has their own characteristics in morphology, syntax and meaning.As a picture-based, language-supplemented literary genre, cartoon needs concise language to convey the story. The onomatopoeia and mimetic words are economic and metaphorical in emotional expression, so they are widely used in the cartoon, which greatly enhance the effect of expression of cartoons' language.After the network appeared, people start using onomatopoeia and mimetic words,in order to enhance the typing speed, and create a realistic, funny and comfortable dialogue, and continue to create new forms. The use of onomatopoeia and mimetic words also make the communication in cyberspace more natural.So far, research on Korea Onomatopeia and mimetic words in terms of phonology,morphology and syntax, have a lot of achievements, but the study about comics and network language is minimal. Therefore, this paper will focus on cartoon and network language, through objective text data, study the actual usage of onomatopoeia and mimetic words in Korean cartoon and network language, and analyze their form,meaning and syntactic features, to explore onomatopoeia onomatopoeia function and role in the comic and the network language.
