Six Paramitas Sutra translated by Kang Senghui,is a typical Buddhist literature.This is a total of eight volumes,the collection of the Buddha and the Buddha's ninety-one stories.This language of luxuriant elegance,will have many ancient words,coupled with characteristics of Buddhist corpus,which leads to a large number of new meanings.Therefore,it's an excellent material for the study of ancient words with new meanings.The vocabulary is its research object.At the same time,the article mainly depends on "Grand Chinese Dictionary" as the basic frame of reference,in order to study ancient words with new meanings.Through more comprehensive investigation analysis,it reveals the ancient words with new meaning and reasons.We hope that this study will be revised and helped to Chinese or Buddhist dictionaries.The article is divided into the following three parts:The first part is the introduction.It mainly introduces the origin of the topic,research status,the use of theory and research methods,the Buddhist version and so on.The second part,the main body,is divided into three chapters:The first chapter introduces the neology connotation and determination.The second chapter introduces the ancient words in Paramitas Sutra with new meanings and study their origin,development and evolution.The Chinese translation of Buddhist scriptures is different from the Chinese Literature.So according to the meanings and Buddhist meaning,ancient words with new meanings are divided into two categories.Firstly,ancient words have new meaning of Buddhist terms;secondly,the ancient words are of universal meanings.The Chinese translation of Buddhist scriptures in the ancient words produce new meanings,and is closely related to the change and development of the language and the Chinese and foreign culture.The third chapter is about new ways and reasons of ancient words.Ancient words with new meanings are derived mainly by the meaning extension,rhetorical devices,conversion of parts of speech and perfusion meaning.Among them,extension of the meaning of a word is the main way.Exploring the causes of old words with new meanings contains language,social reasons and cognitive psychology of people.The fourth chapter introduces the research value of the new meanings.On the one hand,it can contribute to the "Grand Chinese Dictionary",especially in supplement sememe and meanings to words in advance of documentary evidence.On the other hand,it's also useful for the realistic meaning of the ancient words with new meanings.First of all,by studying word meaning,it's easy for readers to read Buddhist scriptures and thoroughly understand Buddhism;Besides,study on the new meanings of the old words to help readers understand the Buddhist culture.The last part is the conclusion.It concentrates on the contents of the article and summary.
