As one of the most important carrier of human communication, the Chinese characters are the inheritance and crystallization of 5,000-year Chinese civilization. Writing Chinese characters correctly is the guarantee of communicating effectively in writing, furthermore, a neat, decent, beautiful handwriting would improve the effectiveness of communication.With the information times developing, the amount of handwriting has a significant decrease than before, which result in some problem about handwriting, such as wrongly written or mispronounced characters, character amnesia and handwriting scrawl. To analysis the situation of Chinese characters written in each learning phase, experimental study is employed in writing sample collection, the sample is analyzed by using the evaluation method proposed in this study.The Chinese character writing samples are collected through tablet personal computer, and a new evaluation system is established based on the the calculation of feature symbol. A quantity of students at element school, middle school and college are random selected, and each student writes 28 characters. The conclusions are found through analyzing these samples by using evaluation system proposed in this study. And the conclusions are as followings:Firstly, the back ground and related problems of this study are introduced detailedly; a new evaluation system used for founding writing mistakes and irregularity is established combined with the experience from predecessors and experts suggestion.Secondly, preliminary study has been developed through collecting and analyzing the handwriting samples of pupils in grade three, and the imperfection is found. Moreover, the evaluation system is adapted, and a more effective and accurate evaluation system is completed, theFinally, more measured students joined this examine, the handwriting samples of element school, middle school and college are collected, the writing mistakes and irregularity are analyzed, and the problems of Chinese character writing in each grade students are different, both the type of error and error rate are affected by the grade difference and gender difference. In general, the spelling error rate and irregularity rate decrease with the increase of grade, and the girls' spelling error rate and irregularity rate are less than the boys" spelling error rate and irregularity rate in the same grade; The possible main reason for this phenomenon is nature difference result from gender difference.
