The Core Curriculum Of Dance Undergraduate Education

Dance undergraduate education starts late in the fields of arts undergraduate education. It falls far behind the music, fine arts undergraduate education. Since several aspects of dance education are not mature, the quality of dance undergraduate students is definitely a mess. This phenomenon apparently concentrated in the lack of standards proper to technical courses, and the lack of linking between technical standards and the current system of undergraduate teaching.Chinese classical dance is a core curriculum in dance undergraduate education, which has a superb technical, distinctive style. According to the characteristics, mission and goals of this course, Sichuan Conservatory of Music and Dance Institute wrote its "Chinese classical dance standardized basic skills portfolio", trying to establish a complete undergraduate technical standards through this tutorial, and therefor to build technical quality standards which are easy to operate, test and evaluate.This paper will be based on development status of dance undergraduate education, and study the establishment of technical quality standards for in-depth discussion.
