| Geometry is an ancient branch of mathematics, it is the science of space form and quantity relation that studies modern world. Any object of natural can be indicated by geometrical manner. Using this form not only can be directly to discuss the connection between the objects and thing, but be to further determine the relationship for each other, Therefore, geometry is a cognitive science,which is based on a strict logical thinking.If the geometry is applied to the art field, it will be is turned into a modeling language. This kind of modeling language is the rational cognition,at the same time very perceptual. For example, we can see this initial geometric modeling in the most primitive caves and cliff, and keeping consistent similarities around the world. In short, ancient art form is based on the geometric modeling language. Dot line and plane is basic elements of the geometric modeling language, from these elements, we can produce all kinds of geometric shapes to express fairly complex contents. As Guillaume Apollinare said, a french poet." The importance of the geometry for plastic arts is equivalent to the importance of grammar for writers. "Reflecting in the specific design practice, it is to use dot line and plane,basing on logical order,the proportion and adjust and standardize the overall composition, etc to design,and building a concise and rational design effect, avoiding completely arbitrary, freedom expression.Poster-Art as an art of visual communication, it is best able to reflect the form of graphic art and design features, and takes the instant and universal transmission information as its working goal.After statistic analysis, it is obvious to know that vision is the most important way for one to get information from the outer world, and the information people get from vision is about 80% of the total amount they get, also 80%-89% of the vision is given by picture. Therefore, using geometrical modeling design way can not only make the demand of advertisement more concise and clears, but also make information transfer faster and more efficient.This paper is divided into five chapters:On the first chapter, the paper described and explained the Object, relevant research situation, ideas, main methods and the difficulties innovations in paper. Chapter two introduced and analyzed The definition of geometric modeling language, the basic composition elements and Visual forms. The third chapter, Some key schools of Art, design movement and design masters, for instance, Cubism, The Russian Constructivism, De Stijl, Bauhaus are expatiated. All of them have great influenced on the design way of geometric modeling development. Chapter four, it was the priority in my thesis. Modern Posters consist of graphics,text, composition design. So, in this part, as follows were three aspects to discuss:the graphic in the design of geometry modeling, the text in the design of geometry modeling, the composition in the design of geometry modeling. What's more, the paper also expatiated in detail through enumerating the classic instance, to discuss the successes of those master works. In the end, the paper summarized the value of geometry modeling research, thus to draw designers attention and to get a new understanding on design ideology and method. |
